Cheval d'Orient -[dinner set]

this is my second batch of purchase that had arrived and in full display here.

Like any true blue collectors of fine china porcelain, the burning desire to own and take lord over the dinner set range has never been compromised, most to the extend of forsaking and sideline my other indulgences.

Though it is my most costly acquisition of wares to date, believed that this investment will never fail me,..... and it will eventually turn into the most perfect heirloom gift for the next generation.

There is a saying that "you merely look after it for the next generation"

The presence of these dinner plates, soup plates, bread & butter plates, dessert plates, sauce boat and the colourful platter have almost complete the range to enable me for the coming Christmas celebration in sight.

Hopefully the other intend of the tureen and large platters can also join us in time.

Hermès store -b

indeed very busy days. Never before in my entire life had i ever being forced by the changing event to make the "pledge of allegiance" to this beloved Cheval d'Orient within couple of days. Or perhaps it is the feeling of the absence that make ones heart grow fonder.

So, back to store again to collect the other remaining dinner china wares that had kept me dreaming many nights long, and the joy of watching my family smiling soo..... whole heartily.

Cheval d'Orient -[coffee set]

within an hours inside the store, the atmospheric force is alluring and in no time i was overwhelmed by the ancient Persian beauties. It is just simply irresistible!!!

The time is ripe now and i has to surrender and succumb,........ and finally,....it resulted with these iconic orange boxes residing together with me inside my humble abode.

As always it is this tea/coffee set that starts the ball rolling. It consists of a pair of coffee cup and saucer, the coffee pot, creamer, sugar bowl and dinner plates.

Cheval d'Orient - ultimate indulgence

Had received call from the store that this renowned Hermès tableware collection called Cheval d’Orient, will be discontinued and shipped out from here in Singapore.

My fascination with the french fine porcelain collections is beyond imagination.......
Particularly, the inspiration from porcelain found in the Adrien Dubouché National Museum, Limoges and objects displayed in the Emile Hermès collection were collectively designed to produce the most exotic ware.  The sight of these  stallions, mares and foals galloping into my mind is fantastic.

It is more a courtly art pieces
Under the hand of the skilled artists, the depiction of ornate polychromatic patterns, the Persian miniaturist style (late Sixteenth to early Seventeenth Century) and the fine lines of gold painted by hand, burnished under the great old tradition are indeed a feast for the eyes.
.............and this is my most important decision i would need to make within days, before it disappears into my dream forever.
